Nikki & Sam: A Magical Destination Wedding at Agreco Farm, Crete
Wedding date: 2 October 2025
Venue: Agreco Farm, Crete
Style: Holiday • Relaxed • Rustic
Nikki and Sam wanted a destination wedding that felt relaxed, personal and full of the people and details they loved.
Their celebration at Agreco Farm in Crete brought together rustic surroundings, sage green styling, Greek influences and plenty of personal touches.

Chapter One
A 12–18 Month Planning Journey
The couple planned their wedding over approximately 12–18 months and worked with both a UK-based wedding planner and a planner in Crete.
Their UK planner helped coordinate suppliers and entertainment, while their Crete planner managed the setup, timeline and wedding-day logistics.
For Nikki, who works as an Event Manager, handing over some of the organisation wasn’t necessarily easy — but she found the additional support invaluable.

Colour & Style
Sage Green & Nude Tones
The couple chose sage green as their main colour, later introducing nude tones to complement Nikki’s dress.
Their styling was relaxed and rustic, fitting naturally with the destination.
Meaningful Touches
Personal Details
Their wedding was filled with meaningful touches.
Guests received jars of local Greek honey as favours, while a Polaroid guest book allowed everyone to leave photographs and messages.
Music was particularly personal.
Nikki’s brother played acoustic guitar as she walked down the aisle, creating a deeply emotional moment.

The Look
The Dress
Nikki initially wanted a budget-conscious wedding dress and began her search at Wed2B.
After visiting Olive Blossom Bridal in Overton, she found a lace gown she immediately fell in love with.
Although it was above her original budget, her mum kindly offered to buy it for her, making the dress even more meaningful.
The Details
Personal Style
Nikki chose customised Nike trainers rather than traditional wedding shoes.
She decorated her own pair with pearls and rhinestones and created a matching pair for her daughter.
Her mum, who owns an independent jewellery business, also created personalised jewellery for Nikki and her bridesmaids.

The Aisle
The Moment That Meant Everything
For Nikki, walking down the aisle was one of the most emotional moments of the day.
She was ten minutes late, but as soon as she saw Sam waiting for her, everything else disappeared.
She described the feeling as walking home and into their future at the same time.
The Celebration
The Reception
The couple designed their seating plan themselves and brought it over in a suitcase, incorporating photographs of themselves into the display.
There was also a surprise late-night gyros station, which proved to be a huge hit with guests.
And the couple secretly arranged for Greek dancers to appear — something their guests knew nothing about until the surprise unfolded.
Advice & Reflections
Looking Back
If Nikki could offer couples one piece of advice, it would be simple:
Ask for help.
She also recommends budgeting for the little things, not rushing through photographs and, for destination weddings, considering what décor you can take with you.
The couple brought an extra suitcase containing chair covers, artificial flowers, table numbers and other décor, saving them money.
For Nikki and Sam, choosing a destination wedding also meant celebrating with the people who genuinely wanted to make the journey.
